Since the readers subscribe to the application on a paid subscription basis, it forms an important monetization scheme for the portal. StoryPortal is further beneficial for budding and talented writers, who see their work published and talent rewarded. The Platform is specially designed to enhance and make the process exciting and joyful for the story readers.

The Problem Statement

Being on the paid subscription model, the output needs to be quality, lest the readers cancel their subscription. So, the portal’s admin has to be easily able to see the work that is good quality and have it published. He should also be able to recommend to the writers if their stories need to be edited and re-submitted. The reader should be, similarly, able to choose the subscription plan that is the best match for his requirements. The portal should also be easy for writers to use and not intimidate them.

The Solution

The StoryPortal is a platform that helps passionate readers with user-friendly UI, Quick-dictionary, and Resume story features. It also provides a platform and audience for new and fresh talents to become successful and famous story writers.

Readers can subscribe to the plan according to their needs. There are four subscription plans available for the readers

Individual: $10 per month

Single reading account

Quick-dict (dictionary): Click on the word that is challenging to understand, and then the system will display the meaning.

Resume story: Start from the page you left.

Unlimited stories.

Duo: $16.2 per month

All that includes in an Individual plan.

Up to 50 stories can be pinned into your account.

Two reading accounts.

Group: $21.63 per month.

All that includes in the Duo plan.

Download the stories into the offline storage of the application.

1. Reader

Readers sign-up for the application and subscribe to the subscription plan according to their needs.

A reader can read the stories published on the platform.

A reader can like, comment, and share the story with other StoryPortal subscribers.

A reader can pin the story into his account.

A reader can add their morals to each story.

2. Writer

Writers sign-up as a writer on the application and waits for the profile approval.

Once the profile has been approved, the writer can write stories and store the stories as drafts.

The writer can write or publish the stories chapter-wise.

The writer can request to "publish the story."

The writer can interact with readers in the comments section.

3. Admin

Admin controls and maintains the whole platform.

Admin can approve or decline the request for new writer sign-up.

Admin can add or remove readers and writers.

Admin review the stories written by the writer and admin can request to "edit the story" if the content is not appropriate according to the guidelines of the application.

Admin has the authority to allow or reject the publish request of a story with an appropriate reason.
